Sarah Burrier is an illustrator, artist, and occasional screenprinter from Frederick County, Maryland. She earned her BFA from Towson University studying Art & Design with a focus in illustration. She specializes in pen and ink illustration, utilizing a blend of analog and digital in her workflow. Sarah has been selected by her peers for multiple student art shows, including three solo shows at Towson University, winning awards for her pieces in their selective categories.

Ever since her childhood, she has been drawing. More likely than not she could be seen with a pen and paper in hand, sketching away. And with these drawings came an eye for the fantastical and surreal. Sometimes her subjects are grounded in reality, while others have never existed at all. Or maybe a mix of both. 

The imagination is a powerful thing, and she wants to convey that in her art by making her inner thoughts of the imaginative and illogical into tangible pieces. She believes that life is too short to always be grounded in reality, and wants her work to reflect that. She asks you to suspend your disbelief while looking at her pieces, and to think up a story of your own to accompany them.
